To
mobilize and arouse the population for the cleaning and conservation
process of the city, Correio Popular created the Project Clean City,
sponsored by Unimed Campinas. Through weekly news articles and advertising,
the project's objective is to make each individual aware that being
and integral part of the society, s(he) is also responsible for
keeping the city clean; create in each segment of the population
a motivation to stimulate spontaneous movements and demonstrations
from the community, and an awareness that a clean city means progress
and development.
CITIZEN
PROJECT
This project was developed by Correio Popular and sponsored by CPFL.
Its aim is to spread, recognize and stimulate volunteering social
actions towards development and social inclusion. With this goal
in mind, Correio Popular publishes a weekly editorial page describing
people's actions that set an example to the community and dedicate
part of their time and skills to help others. In the end of the
year, a great event awards the projects that stood out.
CORREIO

tool, Correio School was created in 1992 by a teacher named Cecília
Pavani. Its objective is to bring students to the reality, making
news analysis a tool to develop critical thinking and citizenship
awareness among the young people. Correio School has also established
partnerships with dance, art, cartoon, cinema, and animation schools.
The project has already benefited 200 thousand students, 3.5 thousand
teachers and 740 public and private schools and organizations in
the Metropolitan Region of Campinas.
